Police have charged a man with criminal damage by fire after the discovery of two badly charred bodies in a burnt-out car in Perth's southern suburbs.
Firefighters found the bodies in a 1993 green Landcruiser burning in bushland about 200m off Tonkin Highway in Wattle Grove at about 5am (WST) on Saturday.
One body was in the front passenger seat area, the other laying in the rear footwell of the vehicle.
It is believed both victims are female.
Police are waiting on the results of a post-mortem examination of the bodies.
In the Perth Magistrates Court on Monday, Brett Nicholas Richard Kuzimski, 35, of Thornlie in the city's south, appeared on a charge of criminal damage by fire.
He was remanded in custody to reappear on May 10.
