Multicultural food fair bigger and better in 2009

as posted here

This year’s City of Gosnells Multicultural Food Fair will be even bigger and better with fireworks for the family and a live cooking demonstration by Master Chef contestant Josh Catalano.
One of the City’s major annual events, the fair offers taste sensations from around the world with a huge range of international cuisine – including Asian, Turkish, Italian, Maori, Russian, South African, Irish and Indian dishes, as well as Indigenous, European and vegetarian foods.
City of Gosnells Mayor Olwen Searle said the fair showcased the City’s cultural diversity and gave people the chance to come together in a family-friendly environment.
“With a community of more than 80 nationalities, the multicultural food fair is a great way to bring people together,” Mayor Searle said.
“This is a real family event and has become a calendar highlight among many residents and cultural groups.”
At the fair there will also be arts and crafts displays, roving entertainers, dancing, free children’s activities and multicultural stage performances throughout the night – culminating in a spectacular fireworks show.
On the night, vote for your favourite stall and go into the draw for a chance to win a great prize.
The fair runs from 6 to 10pm on Friday 20 November at the Langford Sports Centre on Wingrove Road, Langford and is supported by the City of Gosnells and LotteryWest.

Because even the world's wealthiest people still have toilet problems - from unhygienic public toilets to sewage disposal that destroys our waterways.
