  2. its a shame that Chris Tallentire will only speck for members of his area, I am not in his area and was in my opinion fobbed off as I dont live in his area.

As the convener of the meeting I rang to voice my concern over loosing $430000.oo in money that is more than some peoples houses, and perhaps a reason why COG rates go up.

I don’t use the facility nor do I patronage it. I would suggest if it looses so much money take it under the COG umbrella

  3. if it is losing that much money it sounds more like mis-management maybe it should be come more self reliant, maybe Don Russel should take over the management (HIC) ...

  4. webyter are you happy with the COG having to inject four hundred and thirty thousand dollars of ratepayers money. This is to prop up the center?

Mis-management for sure by a husband and wife team surley the COG can better use the money?

  5. I don't think any ratepayer would be happy with that, but the issue of simply closing down the DON is somewhat the same as the way the handled the trees on Hume Road ...

  6. from what is written in the COG minuets it is not being closed just taken up under the Citys directorship. to help save money

Not closing moving direction new managers.

  7. this was my understanding also, so why the public outcry?

  8. They (the don stirrers) don't tell you the truth.
it doesn't support their case to keep the manager and his wife at ratepayers expense

  9. always harsh to critise one or two people without the facts, but yes it is us the ratepayers that end up fitting the bill, personally I could not understand why the site was not offered for the use of the now defunct Acorn players, maybe the Thornlie Tree Man will make an appearance and make camp somewhere in or on the Don somewhere, I wonder how many councilors will show, not that they can actually do anything about this any way!

  10. having just attended the last half of this meeting I am now for promoting the DON and will be attending the council meeting in support, any notion of mis-management is pointless and I encourage everyone to support this facility
