Former Perth girl Chantelle Barry is set to appear in the new Beverly Hills 90210 spin-off.
Barry, from Gosnells, shot to fame for her part in Channel 7’s Popstars, where she was one of five winners that formed girl band Bardot.
Barry left the band – which launched Sophie Monk to stardom – two weeks after it was formed to pursue a solo singing career.
The new 90210, described as edgy and contemporary, looks at life through the eyes of Annie Wilson and her brother Dixon who have moved to a new West Beverly Hills High School where their father is principal.
The siblings have to cope with clique groups and new classmates, in particular spoiled, rich girl Naomi.
Barry plays Nina, a friend of Naomi and while she only appears in the first three episodes of the series her role might be extended.
The show debuts on Channel 10 on September 8.
