Failed trip to Centrelink ... No Human Service given

After almost 2 hour wait I had to walk out of the Gosnells Centrelink (Dept of Humans), we were there to complete an online application for my daughter's Youth Assistant (or whatever they label it now) after enduring the heat within the building and repeatedly watching some people skip in front of the que, when we were finally called it was by the woman who had greeted us (triage), she had just finished a break, called someone else, met a friend who she directed to a seat near her, her first task was to show my daughter where she could find her CRnumber, then she turned to her friend? and started a conversation (after apologising to my daughter) I commented "well it won't matter we have been waiting long enough", she then had a look at the forms and said that they had to be filled in, I then commented that we had only to bring in two items to complete the online application, she wanted the forms filled in, so  I got up and walked out. They encourage you to use the online set up and they have recently down graded the Gosnells site, so the waiting time seems to have gone up slightly, the most annoying thing is that the information they required, they all ready have. Whilst we were waiting a guy had his name called out he went to the desk and received a form he then came back and filled it in with his partner, he then went back to hand the form in, but was told that he had to wait in line again, so that he could then wait for some one to hand the form in, he had already been waiting for five hours (as he commented, during a loud heated argument with one of the "workers" ... frankly I saw no Human Service.

Just a normal "Charity" day on McNamara Drive

We've all heard of the "Birdie Man of Thornlie" but only those that live on the street get to see some of the great "work" that he does (whatever that may be) on most Saturdays about noon you can see up to 8 cars (or more) parked around his house, and the many "volunteers" that flock around him, probably he has some arrangement with the "City of Gosnells" to carry out his "charity work" but one must ask how does he get away with it. If you take the time to come around and have a look you will see people with trolleys and piles of boxes, but I suppose he his not hurting anyone, if this chaos was seen anywhere else it would of been suppressed long ago, so keep up the good work : )

Yes my vote will be a resounding "NO" in the upcoming referendum (if it happens), Council's seem to pick and choose who they prosecute, so remember don't try to live in a tree unless it is for "charity". It is true, the Council's really don't have the authority to exist.
